The Oliveros score was played live with the dancer using a prepared piano technique influenced by John Cage. Harris had danced with both Mary Wigman in Berlin and The Jose Limon Company in Europe. The Covenant was one of her significant works performed at the Henry Street Playhouse in NYC in 1966.
